“We hired a sub-contractor through Thumbtack who turned out to be a total NIGHTMARE (convinced us to pay him a down payment before he started the job, didn’t start the job when he said he would, tore up the carpet and left it there. Left trash, nails and wood chips everywhere, couldn’t get a hold of him when we tried, there are gaps everywhere on the wood flooring they already installed, refused to repair the damages and resume work "because one of his guys has family issues" etc. etc.) After reading reviews on HomeAdvisor, I called FGL flooring. “I became a member of Angies List so I can research reviews of highly rated companies that had completed work near my community. I’m a DIY type guy but when it came to my floors my wife thought it would be best if we found a pro. We recently bought an older home that needed a lot of TLC. Our existing floors looked orange and worn from daily foot traffic, pets and age.
I chose FGL due to member reviews and couldn’t be happier. I bought FGL consultation in the afternoon and Flavio quickly called me later in the afternoon and scheduled an appointment. During his consultation, he explained the amber effect on the floors causing the orange, the grey haze on kitchen floor, pet issues, gaps between boards, measured each room with hardwood floors and went over color options as well as pictures and references from previous jobs. He described the process in detail and later sent a detailed estimate in which we thought was more than reasonable. Flavio quickly fit us in his schedule and his crew completed our floor in 3 days. 
In the end, my wife and I loved the wood floor. Our floors are absolutely beautiful and our 20 year home looks brand new. We were surprised of how much wood grain shows and ?pops? out compared to the old floor. “We can’t say enough about FGL Flooring. The owner of this company, Flavio Limo, went over and above to exceed our expectations. 
We reside in Ohio but own a condo in Nashville. The water had been turned off in the complex and our renter forgot that he had left the spigot turned on and left for college. Upon arrival back home, he was greeted with water that had run out of the bathroom into all other areas of the unit causing extensive damage.  We turned this into our insurance and they initially assigned a company to take care of the repairs. We ended up firing them for multiple reasons!
 We become an Angie’s list member since we did not know anyone in the Nashville area.  We began the hunt for a reputable company and came across FGL Flooring.  I called and spoke with the owner of the company, Flavio Limo, and found him to be extremely accommodating given the fact we live 9 hours away. He stopped by within a day to access the damages and give us an estimate. 
We did not go to multiple businesses to get estimates because we were so impressed with Flavio from the start. It took about a week for the flooring to be delivered.  The following week, within a 3 day span, it was installed. In addition, there was some painting that needed to be done and Flavio contacted someone he knew and it was done the same day!
Also, some damage was done to one of our doors as they were removing the old flooring. Flavio took a picture of it and said he was going to replace the door for us. We appreciate his honesty which is something that is becoming harder and harder to find these days.

“We experienced something at our property that any homeowner would dread.  A cracked water pipe in the kitchen caused the entire unit to be flooded with water. I joined Angie?s List to find help with replacing and refinishing the hardwood floors.  After soliciting three estimates from companies listed on Angie?s List, I choose FGL Flooring.  The work was scheduled at the end of June 2015. I was very apprehensive because this was a relatively big job and we had no experience with this kind of work. 
FGL Flooring performed a fantastic job replacing almost 800 square feet of hardwood floors.  Flavio, the owner, is a very knowledgeable about the installation of hardwood flooring.  He was slightly early for our initial appointment, which I really appreciated.  During our initial meeting, he showed me several digital pictures of previous hardwood floor installations that his company had performed.  The pics were a strong factor in my deciding to choose FGL Flooring over two other larger-size companies that were also competing to win my business. 
Flavio clearly explained that the damaged hardwood would have to torn out, then new hardwood installed and refinished. He also explain what was involved in the process of replacing my water-damaged hardwood floors.  To be sure, it was lot of work involved. He estimated how long it would take from start-to-finish and sure enough the work completed in a time that was very, very close to his estimated completion time. FGL completed the work in about 5 days. This was impressive considering it was full tear-out and replace job. 
I made several requests for special accommodations because I live in a different city than where the subject property is located.  Flavio was very receptive to my requests, which made my life a lot easier.  I understood that because FGL Flooring is basically a small business that my request for accommodations would be a bit more difficult to absorb than it would have been for one of the larger flooring companies.  Nevertheless, Flavio was able and willing to deal with everything that I presented to him. 
Did I say that the floors look great?  A terrific job performed by a personable small entrepreneurial company.  I would recommend FGL Flooring for any hardwood flooring installation and refinishing work.  Did I also mention that FGL Flooring came in with the lowest bid as well? Well that actually happened. Flavio is a great guy and his small business was impressive.

“I would HIGHLY recommend Flavio and his crew.  Flavio is extremely professional and knowledgeable.  His crew are all very friendly and professional.  These are great people.  I priced several different hardwood flooring professionals in the Nashville area and their quote was fair and their work was efficient, on time and on budget.
Flavio went above and beyond a normal refinishing job.  My contractor and I created a kitchen floor that is an end grain block wooden floor.  We created it out of the 2 x 4’s that were removed from the house.  None of us had ever created this type of floor, but we did our best to do it right.  Flavio recommended adhesive and wood filler.  He shared his knowledge of wood, stain and polyurethane so that we would enjoy the final product.  I’m happy to report, the floor is beautiful. It wasn’t the easiest floor to install, but it is beautiful. I appreciate Flavio’s creativity and willingness to try something new. His team worked hard to help me achieve a creative floor and had a wonderful attitude when things didn’t go 100% according to plan.
